File Under Foliage

File Under Foliage is a music-making project I started in 2019 (originally titled Delano and then G4EEN). Over on the Bandcamp, I upload plenty of songs and demos. I write both vocal and instrumental music.

If you're interested in vocal songs, you should listen to Building Blocks (or Speed of Slang for a less lengthy experience), then maybe check out This Darker Season, Party Line, Say It Anyway, and Abolish the Haze for more.

If you're interested in instrumental tracks, I suggest Aliens and Honey, then maybe explore Wreath, Aliens+, Patterns, Field, or Verity. And maybe the older ones too... but they aren't as good, in my opinion.

I was incredibly proud to contribute to A Very Cherry Christmas - Volume 16.

Not quite FUF, but I'm also composing music for video games by Semaphore Interactive.

Some favorite music acts that probably inspire me: For business or creative inquiries related to my music, please send an email to fileunderfoliage@gmail.com!

Captiotia

Captiotia is a worldbuilding project and fictional country. I created it in early 2013 on the country simulation website NationStates, which is still Captiotia's primary home on the web... but not for long! While being a fun and somewhat indulgent form of self-expression, it's also helped me explore my real political beliefs to some extent.

Captiotia (/kæpti'oʃə/ cap-tee-OH-shuh), officially the Captiotian Summatory Socialist Republic, is a democratic scientific socialist country on Captiotia Island and other minor islands. Geographically, Captiotia is divided into 3 regions, 24 prefectures, and countless districts (including the capital). The modern government was established in 1948.

The government is divided into three branches:

Within the Senate, there are a few parties in a united front: The economy features councils, cybernetics, economic planning, labor vouchers, universal basic income... et cetera. In addition, food, housing, transportation, healthcare, education, and other social resources are free and easily accessible. The specific structure of the local economy can vary from place to place. Captiotia continues on the path to communism, using social and technical knowledge to develop the productive forces, improve the standard of living, and cultivate wholly free association.

Captiotia is a member of the Union of Socialist Archipelagic Republics, also known as the Red Archipelago, an international organization of socialist societies overseas. Many segments of the Captiotian population are interested in the federalization of the USAR, with Captiotia therefore becoming a constituent country.

Captiotia has a significant space program. The main family of launch vehicles, Sigma, carries crew and cargo to the space station, enables networks of communications and monitoring satellites, and sends probes to other planets at an increasing rate.

Key projects of the Captiotian space program and variants of utilized vehicles: Members of the Sigma launch vehicle family (tentative): A few more facts about Captiotia...

Inhabitants of Captiotia are called Captiot.

The official motto of Captiotia is "All for one, one for all".

Captiot love cheese! The average Captiotian diet consists largely of grain- and soy- based foods, fruits, nuts, seeds, and dairy. The majority of Captiot are vegetarian.

The Captiotian calendar consists of 12 months of 30 days each — divided into 6 weeks of 5 days each — as well as an additional 5-day (or 6-day on leap years) holiday week at the end of the year. The new year begins on April 25 of the Gregorian calendar, one day after the anniversary of the 1948 Sigma Revolution that started the modern government.
