Victoria’s high school sweetheart; geological engineer

Victoria’s high school sweetheart and robotics club partner from Carroll Academy, now a knowledgeable geological engineer. Julian is gentle, kind hearted, focused, and eager to help those in need. He and Victoria bonded over video games but drifted apart when Julian grew more passionate and focused in his field while Victoria’s anxiety held her back from committing to a career path.

Julian’s confident but docile temperament was assessed as suitable by GP institutions, a contrast to Victoria’s less institutionally trusted profile.

Long-Term Role

Julian likely joins the crew late in Season 2. His future relevance is not romance with Victoria, but the FnKey, his family connection to one of X, Y, and Z, and his own relationship to the hidden history of Galena’s rescue. One of the engineers may turn out to be Julian’s aunt or uncle, and Julian may bond with another surviving engineer over their shared grief and love for that person.

Appearance

Asian human man, late 20s. Warm light to medium skin tone, soft dark eyes, medium length wavy black hair around the ears, a neat short goatee or chin beard, and round thin glasses. Average height and build.

Field geologist outfit: muted teal or green field shirt, tan or gray utility vest, cargo pants, boots, a geological scanner, and a sample case.
