Season 4: Limited Engagement
Season 4 remains in development. Its known anchor is thematic rather than episodic: business growth intruding on the lives of the people inside it.
Season Spine
By Season 4, the business is doing well: the Petty’s/Gamer Galaxy connection is active and the pizzeria is thriving, far beyond simply trying to survive. That success creates new pressure, new obligations, and new forms of harm. Growth consumes attention; family members become less free as the business becomes more stable.
Known Directions
Robin is torn between college commitments and family obligation. Ella is torn about turning her Petty Pie into a regional mass-produced frozen retail commodity. Sam and Piper’s relationship evolves in uncomfortable ways. Charlie and Ambrose’s engagement changes Charlie’s relationship to the family and the business. New employees and workers become more central, and the show begins more directly confronting who the Pettys hurt.
A possible episode, “Third Wheel,” centers on Golden Age: Sam wanting to enjoy a cheese and wine experience there without guilt, Piper turning it into competitive reconnaissance, and Katrina and Norm’s condescension complicated by Sam privately liking parts of the experience.
Speculative / Undeveloped
A handful of further ideas remain speculative and undeveloped as of this bible: Piper’s esoteric gig-economy-style exploitation of polyamory, Sam and Charlie’s suspicious mushroom-foraging camping trips, a possible second location, and later worker, community, and global-supply contradictions.
