Season 2: Winds of Change

Renovation, delegation, and growth start choosing for the family as much as they choose it.

Season 2 runs from roughly March through July 2023. It begins after the family chooses to keep the pizzeria. They renovate, hire and try out Felix, delegate, test new growth strategies, and begin to feel success changing them. The season ends with a July tornado that damages Petty’s and the adjacent unused unit, creating the material path into Season 3’s expansion.

We chose the pizzeria. Now the pizzeria starts choosing for us.

Season 1 asked whether the family could survive. Season 2 asks what survival starts demanding of them.

Arc Structure

Episodes 1–3: Out of Time: Renovation begins, and Charlie brings in his nephew Felix, testing whether helping someone can stay separate from hiring them.
Episodes 4–6: Locks and Keys / Follow Suit / Relative Humidity: Security, individuality, and neglected maintenance each become questions of trust, in the family and in Charlie's own life.
Episodes 7–8: Upward Mobility: Gourmet ingredients and a delivery experiment reveal every hidden cost of trying to move up.
Episodes 9–10: Special Effects: A local TV shoot turns being an “authentic family business” into its own kind of labor.
Episode 11: Supplies and Demands: Robin's logistics work and their relationship with Lewis both get squeezed by the business's success.
Episode 12: Two-Point Perspective: Charlie and Neil clash over mentoring versus control, while Felix finds his own steadier outlet.
Episode 13: Petty with a Prior: An old friend's visit surfaces the version of Piper that existed before debt and leadership hardened into performance.
Episodes 14–16: Growing Pains: The expansion debate, and the tornado that ultimately settles it.
