Cuisine & Agriculture
Cheese is central to Captiot cuisine, alongside grains, pasta, pizza-like dishes, fruits, vegetables, legumes, microbial dairy, regional breads, sauces, soups, and preserved foods. Traditional regional cheesemaking survives as a cultural craft, especially in historically agricultural districts. Most dairy is produced from microorganisms for ethical and ecological reasons, and the Captiot do not consume meat.
Agriculture is highly planned, technologically advanced, and regionally varied. It includes staple crops, legumes, fruits, controlled-environment agriculture, microbial protein, aquaculture without slaughter-based food systems, vertical farms, rooftop greenhouses, community gardens, seed banks, and agriscience research. Prefectures such as Wallace, a fertile central prefecture built around staple crop production and food-system research, are major contributors to national food planning.
